Great opportunity to be the key driver for the repositioning of a full-service 400+ key oceanfront resort in scenic Myrtle Beach, SC. The resort will feature multiple lodging options including standard hotel guest rooms, townhouses, and luxury housing along with multiple high-volume F&B and entertainment outlets. Resort will host all of this and have leased retail shopping as well. The General Manager will join the project midway through renovation and have the ability to quickly ramp up to the upcoming peak season and continue the development process through the next year.

In addition, successful candidates will:

• Ensure property hiring and employee practices comply with company and legal requirements striving for a culturally diverse workforce.
• Select, train, and direct department supervisors and other associates as necessary keeping them well versed in all policies and procedures.
• Remain highly visible and be readily available for guests at all times.
• Aggressively reduce accidents and minimize worker's compensation and unemployment claims and resulting costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Only those candidates that meet the following criteria will be considered:

• Experience with large full-service resorts (300 plus rooms with multiple F&B outlets)
• New opening experience would be helpful.
• Ability to work with ongoing renovation projects.
• Experience with J1 or H2B staffing.
• High levels of personal organization and communication across a large organization
• Ability to effectively communicate vision to the entire organization.
