Job Title: General Superintendent - Solar PV Construction

Location: Hawaii

Salary: $110k-$120k depending on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee a team of installation workers across Mechanical and Electrical disciplines for a Solar PV Utility scale installation project based in Hawaii.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the site, ultimately contributing to a successful, timely, and safe installation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation team and ensure all work is carried out to high standards and meets all project specifications and requirements
• Manage the day-to-day running of the site, including coordinating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure deadlines are met
• Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner, and that all health and safety regulations are adhered to
• Maintain a strong focus on quality control and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard
• Manage and monitor the project schedule and ensure that milestones are met
• Prepare and submit daily reports to project management
• Ensure that all tools, equipment, and materials are available on site and that they are properly maintained
• Work with project management to resolve any issues that arise during the project
• Provide support and mentorship to the installation team to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, with direct experience of Solar PV Utility scale installation projects
• Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical installation practices
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
• A strong focus on quality control and attention to detail
• A commitment to health and safety best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively
