Fortis Industries, Inc. is interviewing for the full-time position of Grounds Maintenance Worker in the Pt Loma area: The candidate will have experience in Grounds Maintenance procedures. Fortis Industries, Inc. will provide tools and equipment required for contracted services. Must be able to pass background check to access military facilities/properties.
The following are key responsibilities associated with this position:
- Cuts lawn using hand, power or riding mower; trims and edges around walks, flower beds, walls, etc.
- Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs; prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools.
- Cuts, clears, and removes weeds, bushes, and other fire hazards.
- Cleans, blows, and brushes paved sidewalks and streets.
- Power wash, clean piers.
- May perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds maintenance.
Preferred experience:
- Grounds Maintenance: 1 year
Rate of Pay: $17.90 + full Health Benefits through the Union
This will be a union position with competitive compensation and benefits including healthcare benefits, paid vacation, and holidays.
