Description
The Groundskeeper III position is responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the entire campus grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing other temporary summer hires engaged in landscaping and grounds keeping activities, snow removal, laying sod, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, maintaining and installing irrigation systems, fertilizing, weed control, and raking. The groundskeeper maintains and operates all grounds equipment.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Considerable knowledge of grounds equipment, supplies, and techniques is preferred. Candidates must be able to perform physical activities, capable of lifting 50 lbs, make independent decisions, operate snow removal and mowing equipment, and interact effectively with the public, faculty, staff, and students.
