Job summary:
We are looking for a dynamic leader that is ready to drive execution in the generator set and power module manufacturing operation within our Griffin facility. You will have the opportunity to engage with and lead some of the best and brightest professionals working on our generator and power module products. You will develop and lead the operations team while also managing the production schedules and assisting with the overall performance of the manufacturing operations within the facility. We will teach, challenge, and test you. Your work will be critical to our and our customers continued success.
You will be supported through two-way collaboration as we might need to lean on you as part of our larger leadership team. We will empower you and provide you the autonomy to exercise your unique leadership style to motivate your team of production and management personnel to ensure their engagement and the success of the product line. We are counting on you to develop and establish processes and a governance program within our manufacturing area to ensure we are meeting and exceeding our key performance indicators in terms of people, quality, velocity, and cost.

What you will do:
- Monitor and improve safety on the shop floor; eliminate any unsafe operations/behaviors and ensure a safe and clean production environment.
- Coordinate the effective operation of assigned areas of manufacturing to meet established schedules and production requirements while maintaining cost.
- Ensure proper direction and supervision of activities on multiple shifts to maintain effective utilization of throughput.
- Manage a dynamic and diverse product portfolio
- Implement and support various corporate initiatives such as STOP, BIQ, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, CQMS, etc.
- Promote development of people through continued education, employee involvement, increased responsibility, and ergonomics.
- Train new supervisors on best practices for leading in a manufacturing environment.
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a manufacturing/operations-related discipline) and 8+ years of applicable experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations OR 12+ years of applicable experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations
- Previous supervisory leadership experience within manufacturing operations
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to communicate and adapt your communication style to a variable audience
Top candidates will also have:
- 6+ years’ experience in managing operations/supply chain/logistics operations
- 6 Sigma/Lean manufacturing experience or certification
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse product portfolio and maintain delivery schedules
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Ability to direct and motivate a diverse team of people to ensure divisional goals are met.
