Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a HBSS (Host Based Security System) Engineer to support NIWC PAC on a classified network . The selected candidate will install, administer, and maintain HBSS on the Secure Wide Area Network (SWAN) at NIWC Pacific. This work includes supporting the daily operations of all HBSS modules; reviewing threat events in ENS for filter and rule creation; developing and implementing system security policies in line with STIG and OPORD requirements; and maintaining ENS trusted network policy for network devices, applications, and services. The candidate must be able to create, review, and validate documentation, create test plans, and strategies, and evaluate and coordinate customer compliance with CYBERCOM orders and directives and assist in preparation for security inspections.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Managing, maintaining, and patching Windows servers (physical and virtual) in support of the HBSS infrastructure.
• Guiding the HBSS team in deployment and development strategies, overseeing troubleshooting of issues, and liaising with internal and external entities.
• Responsible for all testing and deploying of HBSS modules and ePolicy Orchestrator to support current operating systems on RDTE network (Windows, MacOS, and Linux).
• Managing all HBSS modules and policies in compliance with current Operational Orders and STIGs.
• Developing and maintain standard operation procedures (SOPs).
• Responsible for troubleshooting any issues related to module deployment on Windows, MacOS, and Linux endpoints.
• Coordinating and communicating all major module and policy changes with RDTE Network management and stakeholders.
• Experience with HBSS HIPS signature review and verification of signature and exceptions.
• Experience with Application Whitelisting utilizing McAfee Solidcore/Application Control.

Certifications (IAT Level II)

One of the following:

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Required Skills

• 5+ Years of Experience with HBSS
• Experience with Windows-based operating systems

Desired Skills

• Experience with Linux environment
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 per year
