Who is Castell Rooftop Lounge? Evocative of the 1960s, with a bit of a Mad Men vibe, Castell’s beverage menu celebrates the iconic Martini and its various incarnations. Creative cocktails are based on the classic drinks of yore, served up with a twist of trend. A selection of reimagined tapas complements the dynamic list of mixed drinks, beer, wine and non-alcoholic spirits.

Are you our Head Bartender?

The Head Bartender leads the bar team and ensures the bar is maintained to all company standards, in addition to performing standard bartender responsibilities.

The Head Bartender is also responsible for assisting the Castell Management team and Beverage Director with the cocktail program. This may include R&D of new cocktails, product sourcing, staff training and education, menu roll outs, and maintenance of company bar standards.

Responsibilities:

Here’s the kind of work you’ll get to do:

• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment behind the bar.
• Support growth and training of other bar team members and new bartenders, as well as ensure all bar members are effectively keeping bar standards and knowledge.
• Assist the Beverage Director in cocktail creation and innovation for both Castell and Boqueria’s cocktail programs
• Responsible for updating order sheets, adding inventory notes, receiving beverage delivery and tracking invoices.
• Oversee all bar prep is being executed properly and ensuring there is no excess waste
• Assist with the development of recipes and training materials for restaurant managers and staff.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years as a bartender at a high-volume cocktail bar or restaurant
• Experience in a supervisory role
• Extensive cocktail and spirit knowledge in regard to both classic cocktails and emerging cocktail trends
• Experience in cocktail creation and development
• Team player who genuinely enjoys working closely with others
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with guest satisfaction and problem solving

Highly Preferred:

• TIPS Certified
• DOH Certified
• Experience with beverage inventory and administrative duties
