Role Profile

We currently have an opening for the role of Head of portfolio management team with the Multi-management group. This is an important new position. The person will manage a team of fund of fund Portfolio managers covering Equity, Fixed income and Multi Asset. The successful candidate for this role will be expected to manage portfolios and portfolio managers to achieve high quality performances. A strong collaboration with other departments and the Manager Research team is key to our success. You will have to opportunity to join a growing and exciting investment team where you will be challenged and constantly encouraged to develop yourself and your team.

Duties

  • Manage Portfolios and a team of Portfolio Managers across different asset classes (Multi-Asset, Fixed Income and Equity)

  • Coordinate and improve the investment process with particular attention to investment idea generation, portfolios construction and managers selection.

  • Strongly collaborate with the manager selection team to identify excellent fund managers

  • Help to design active investment strategies and the subsequent effective implementation within the risk budget assigned

  • Support and challenge Portfolio Managers through critical analysis and feedbacks

  • Ad hoc projects as required

    • Skills & Competencies

  • 10+ years’ experience in asset management with a focus on Portfolio Management

  • Extensive experience in fund of fund / Fund of mandate portfolio management.

  • Experience of managing a team

  • Quantitative/Business based University Degree.

  • CFA qualification is advantageous.

  • Excellent analytical skills, knowledge of numerical & quantitative research techniques

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead others

  • Numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail as a pre-requisite as is the ability to work to deadlines in a team-based environment

  • Strong analytical and communication skills (both oral & written)

  • Knowledge of Bloomberg PORT, Morningstar, Style Research is an advantage
