The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.
Salary €DOE
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Work together with managers to create, implement and execute Health & Safety objectives and improvements.
- Carry out risk assessments and work with relevant stakeholders with regards to H&S issues/concerns and address in a timely manner.
- Manage, prepare, and facilitate any external/internal site audit assessments.
- Assist functional managers and supervisors in planning and implementing site Health & Safety practices.
- Organize and support necessary permits, licenses, or permissions in compliance with Health & Safety legislative requirements.
- Make sure all employees, contractors, third parties and visitors are compliant with H&S and Covid-19 requirements.
- Support managers with the investigation of H&S incidents/accidents at the site.
- Lead an investigation process, where necessary, and/or collaborate with senior management on serious incidents.
- Any other duties as required.
Some of the requirements include:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Health & Safety essential.
- Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
- Manual Handling Instructor and Forklift Instructor qualification advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
