Qualifications:
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate MA or MX endorsement
- Certified in K-8 health education Successful teaching experience at the secondary level
- Demonstrated knowledge of youth and the ability to teach them
- Comprehensive understanding of human development and sexuality
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Ability to support and promote sound instruction; demonstrated enthusiasm and ability to teach
- Ability to work cooperatively with parents, administrators, and other staff
- Ability to develop and implement instructional curriculum innovatively, including considering diverse instructional practices
- Ability to work with a district wide team toward cohesive instruction
