The Host position is responsible for greeting and seating all guests in Corsa Restaurant, while maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for managing the reservations book so guests are seated in a timely manner and to maximize the amount of tables in the restaurant at once
- Answers phones and assists with guest questions and complaints.
- Knowledge of all menu items, prices and general service procedures
- Willing to assist in setting and bussing tables, and running food and drinks when needed
- Ability to stay positive, respectful and courteous in all situations; this includes with guests, co-workers and managers
- Communicate all special requests to servers and managers and be willing to assist in the guests' request
- Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, recognize regular guests and House members by name and use their name in conversation
- Maintain the host stand and the dining room to be neat and tidy at all times
Required Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English
- Ability to use the telephone and computer system
- Must be able to stand exert well-paced mobility for the entirety of a shift
- Excellent communication skills
- Requires standing, sitting, walking, lifting, pushing, listening and hearing abilities
- Must be able to work on weekends, holidays, and stay through the end of season
- Must be a current resident of the Jackson Hole area or be willing to relocate
