Job Title: Host

Job Type: Part-time, Contract

Compensation: $18.00/hr

Target Hire Date: Early May

Join our team as we launch the newest addition to our family of clubs, the Laugh Factory Covina! Our company seeks a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Host. This position requires strong communication and customer service skills, as the successful candidate will play an integral role in cultivating a strong guest experience and smooth operation for patrons. This position reports to the manager on duty.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they arrive and assist with seating arrangements.
• Help guests with tickets and guide them to their seats in a timely manner.
• Assist the manager on duty with ensuring a pleasant experience for all patrons.
• Provide customers with menus and answer any initial questions they may have.
• Optimize seating in different sections to ensure an even workload for wait staff.
• Manage any seating issues and conflicts as they arise.
• Promote upcoming shows and events to patrons.
• Answer phones and schedule reservations with large parties.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of customer service experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to handle unexpected situations with ease
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good interpersonal and oral communication abilities, including active listening abilityAvailability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate concerns and improvement suggestions to supervisors
• Creativity and optimism
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

This position is an integral part of the operations at the Covina comedy club location and will support the company's service standards.
