We are hiring PT & FT Hosts! Weekend and evening availability is required, this position pays $17 - $19 an hour depending on experience plus tips. Host experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate who has at least 3 years of customer service experience.

The Madrona is part of the Mosaic Hotel Group’s luxury collection of boutique properties. Mosaic operates a portfolio of individually-branded, high-end hotels in exceptional destinations throughout the West Coast and Mexico. As the Host, you will courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring standards of service. Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room at all times. Take reservations and maintain reservation system. Assist in monitoring guests' needs. Bid farewell to all departing guests.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

· Exercise good judgment with difficult guests.

· Think clearly and quickly, maintain concentration a make concise decisions in pressure situations.

· Focus attention on details.

· Suggestively sell selected food and beverage items.

· Provide clear, pleasant telephone communication with proper grammar.

· Provide legible communication.

· Do basic arithmetic.

· Give clear, correct and concise directions to guests over the phone.

· Be a team player – need to be willing to lend a helping hand to any teammate at any time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school graduate.

· Ability to communicate with proper grammar in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Restaurant service experience in a similar market.

· Knowledge of computerized P.O.S. systems, preferably Toast.

· Prior guest relations training

· Knowledge of reservation system, preferably Resy.
