Vericast is looking for a HR Manager to support our Livonia manufacturing location! As HR Manager, you will provide human resources counsel, training and strategic thought partnership to a 24/7 manufacturing facility with 175 employees. You will also be responsible for consulting in the areas of HR including but not limited to: performance management, talent management, employee relations, talent acquisition and staffing, compensation, benefits, HRIS, training and development, workers’ compensation and EEO/AAP.
On any given day, you may be responsible for:
- Employee Life Cycle:
- Supporting client group staffing needs by working with leaders on staffing strategy and partnering with the talent acquisition team to provide position requirements.
- Training and Development:
- Partnering with Learning and Development and with client groups to determine training needs, develop and deliver corporate-sponsored, regulatory and other training/orientation programs.
- Employee Relations:
- Proactively addressing and monitoring employee relations issues, drive engagement programs, and ensure consistent policy application.
- Performance Management:
- Working with leaders to support the continuous performance management process to include activities such as talent review, succession planning, goal setting and annual reviews.
- Administration, Compensation, and Benefits:
- Ensuring that procedural requirements are completed in a timely and accurate manner while identifying and resolving process gaps.
- Executing compensation and total rewards programs.
- Monitoring and addressing EEO programs and completes special projects.
- Safety/Workers Compensation:
- Coordinating workers compensation process to minimize costs and improve performance.
- Supporting efforts to improve safety in the workplace
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ yrs Human Resources experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 - 7 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES
- SHRM-CP/SCP ; PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent computer skills, MS Office, Including Excel and required. Excellent facilitation and training delivery skills required.
- Strong personal credibility and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with client groups.
- Ability to think independently and effectively influence others to adopt a course of action on critical, complex or sensitive information.
- Extensive knowledge of employment law and regulations through education and/or experience.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
Communicates with client group employees and managers, Corporate Human Resources, external customers/vendors, DOL/OFCCP, state workforce commissions, and regulatory agencies.
DECISION MAKING
Extensive decisions in all areas of HR Management to include: Personnel development, Hiring/firing, corrective actions. benefits, compensation, training, budgetary, legal actions, and various other personnel decisions.
OTHER
- Requires ability to apply high levels of independent thinking to solve complex inquiries.
- Willingness to spend time on the production floor and be available if needed in a continuous operation.
- In office position with opportunity for flexibility.
Additional Information
Salary: $75,000-$90,000
Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
