Ice Cream Delivery Driver- SATURDAY SUNDAY ONLY

Marianne’s Ice Cream is a Santa Cruz landmark, serving the community for almost 75 years. We serve delicious, handmade, super-premium ice cream at our retail scoop shops, several wholesale locations & restaurants, and at catering events across the Santa Cruz and larger Bay area. We are looking for a full-time, hourly Delivery Driver to join our growing team.

The Driver will be part of a team responsible for the successful delivery of ice cream and frozen novelties across the Bay area and local routes.

NOTE we are hiring 1 weekend position

1 Part-time: seasonal (through 09/04), JUST weekends (Saturday and Sunday) 6am-1pm

Hourly Wage: starting at $20/hr (commensurate of experience)

You love going home from work knowing you got your checklist done for the day. You don’t necessarily need a lot of other people to help you work and, in fact, you don’t mind being alone for good chunks of the day. You’re comfortable speaking with customers and making sure they’re happy with the product you’re bringing. People call you professional and friendly. If something isn’t right or needs attention, you aren’t afraid to communicate to the right people to get it fixed.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to)

Maintaining the success of Marianne’s Delivery Operations by participating in or leading any of the following tasks:

• Pulling orders from freezer and packing on delivery truck
• Maintain organization of the freezer
• Deliver orders to wholesale accounts such as grocery stores, scoop shops, restaurants
• Be efficient, use and prioritize time wisely
• Communicate relevant information to plant managers
• Be able and willing to go above and beyond when the team needs it
• Be obsessive about quality
• Interact with customers in a positive and friendly manner

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Be able to lift/push/pull up to 70 pounds
• Be able to bend/squat and lift 25 pounds from the ground
• At least 25 years old, valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Some delivery driver experience preferred, not required
• Forklift experience preferred
• Loves ice cream

Must be able to work part-time Saturday and Sunday 6am-1pm.

Schedule may shift due to seasonality and demand.

Holidays must be requested off in advance and you will be required to work some holidays.

Marianne’s has 3 scoop shops and will be opening a 4th this Spring. The Driver role will start every day out of the production facility by 6AM located at:
