PDQ Skilled Trades is now hiring an Industrial Painter for our client that builds custom steel forms for the precast, pre-stressed concrete industry.

Shift:

• 5:00am – 2:30 Monday – Friday
• Must be able to work overtime and/or every other Saturday, when needed.

Pay:

• $17.00 – $19/hour **Depending on experience
• Paid weekly

Job Summary:
This position will require painters to clean, paint, and apply any additional coatings to custom steel components. Industrial painters are responsible for maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order, possessing a wide array of painting tools, and hand tools.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Spray paint surfaces of materials or products.
• Applies either epoxy paint or rubber adhesive applications using conventional spray techniques and has experience working with both applications.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces of components before painting, using right angle grinders and hand tools.
• Formulates the mixing and proper storage of chemicals and paint.
• Loads and moves large paints drums and other materials to work area.
• Maintains clean and organized work area.
• Comply with OSHA regulations.
• Performs other routine duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must have 2+ years of industrial spray painting experience; airless spray pumps experience, a plus.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled atmosphere.
• Prolonged standing, frequent bending, pushing, pulling and stooping.
• Frequent lifting to 50 lbs. without assistance, greater than 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Must be able to wear assigned personal protective equipment.
• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles of toxic or caustic chemicals with air mask provided.
• Bilingual communication skills, a plus.
