To provide the necessary support for the successful launch of the new plant. The Industrial Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates internal and external processes in the industrial plant.

During the early stage of company establishment, the Material management will contribute significantly to the establishment of MOBIS North America electrified powertrain LLC. Based on previous versions, various operating standards, and systems will be modified and renewed for new projects. After establishment, Material management will ensure that materials are available when needed, at the correct cost and quality. Material management will be vital in coordinating with other departments and teams, managing resources, and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the material management process.

About MOBIS North America electrified powertrain LLC.

MOBIS North America electrified powertrain LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are key parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

[Logistics planning]

• Develops, evaluates, and improves internal and external material flow methods.
• Analyzes and plans workforce and utilization, floor space, and material flow.
• Designs layout of equipment and operator workspace.
• Confers with part suppliers and/or vendors to engineer and develop material handling equipment, storage solutions, and packaging and evaluates/tests the product to assure specifications and meet quality standards.
• Time study analysis through simulation of material flow throughout the plant.
• Calculation of staffing requirements.
• Calculation of fleets and management of returnable packaging.
• Confers with management and other staff regarding materials processes to support and facilitate overall plant efficiency.
• Identify process wastes in the supply chain to identify savings opportunities in diverse areas, such as transportation, inventory, people, internal flow, etc., and provide a detailed business case.
• Performs other and/or special assignments as delegated.

Basic Qualifications: (The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Four years college degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 2-4 year experience in continuous improvement activities and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• 2-4 years experience in shop floor capacity planning based on time study analysis techniques.
• 2-4 year experience in floor space analysis. AutoCAD experience is preferred.
• 2-4 year experience in problem solving and analysis that require using different Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and/or root cause methodologies and tools, such as 8D's, Ishikawa/Fishbone, etc.
• Minimum of 2-4 years working in a JIT assembly environment.
• Automotive parts assembly experience is preferred, with 2-4 years of experience assembling modular component systems.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Technical expertise and skill in designing and optimizing material flow processes.
• Knowledge of principles and experience in warehouse management based on methodologies such as FIFO and Kanban systems.

Working Conditions: Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
