HealthBridge Arlington Heights has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with proven Infection Preventionist experience to drive our infection prevention and control program, staff education and orientation processes. Responsibilities for this position include developing, monitoring and enforcing policies specific to Surveillance, Prevention and Control Programs as well as coordinating Infection Prevention and Control throughout the facility and monitoring the on-going effectiveness of these activities and interventions. In addition, this position is responsible for orientation and ongoing training programs for all employees.

Requirements:

· Education: RN preferred; LPN's with current infection prevention experience will be considered; Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Infection Control in a skilled nursing setting; direct experience with NHSN data entry and reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software

· Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred

· Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; Electronic Medical Record; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)

Salary: Based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
