PACE Supply in Santa Rosa, CA has an immediate need for a self starter that can assist our Inside Sales team and provide support the branch. The HVAC Specialist is an inside salesperson who works closely with their area outside salesperson to increase the sales of HVAC products. The Specialist works at a physical PACE branch and is expected to build relationships with local customers. The Specialist is expected to have knowledge of the internal order system, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel aptitude, and HVAC industry knowledge.

Customer Interaction

• Process orders from customers via phone and email.
• Manage orders, open orders and backorders and communicate them to the customer.
• Build relationships with local customers who visit the Specialist location.

Vendor Interaction

• Continuously learn about the products from vendor training and PACE Online University.

Internal Communications

• Collaborate with the outside salesperson to increase the sales of HVAC products.
• Participate in joint sales calls with the outside salesperson.
• Provide quotes from customers through collaborating with the customers outside salesperson.
• Process purchases and transfers as needed, while communicating with the purchaser
• Regularly contribute to the whole sales team

Quote, Orders, Purchase Orders, Inventory

• Have a strong knowledge of the internal order system (MIS) and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Take ownership of HVAC products that are stocked in the location. Monitor and address inventory and inventory issues, warehousing and shipping best practices.
• Be aware and assist with HVAC orders that ship through their PACE Branch.

Counter Support and Employee HVAC Integration

• HVAC counter sales support.
• Integration and training of existing employees to HVAC product and SOP.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or industry experience preferred.

Minimum Work Experience and Skills: Counter sales and industry experience

Ideal Work Experience and Skills:

• Counter sales and HVAC knowledge helpful.
• Stringent management of open orders and backorders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal staff.
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.

• This is a full-time position, with hours generally Monday through Friday with 8 hour shifts. Some overtime may be required as needed.
