Insight Analyst
Netrix is currently seeking an
Insights Analyst to join our Netrix Business Insights team. Suitable candidates for this position are highly skilled in verbal and written communication and have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an analytical role for a managed services and/or professional services organization within the IT industry. We are seeking versatile individuals who have a working knowledge of data visualization tactics and possess exceptional attention to detail. This role resides within our NBI team, which focuses on internal data management, reporting insights, and analytics. Insights Analysts work alongside Power BI Developers, Data Architects and Engineers, and will assist in fulfilling various responsibilities as they relate to the internal data science practices of Netrix.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs analysis of data captured within Power BI, Excel exports, and source application reporting tools.
- Delivers actionable and timely insights and recommendations across multiple business lines within Netrix to identify revenue enhancing and cost saving opportunities.
- Apply available predictive models and segmentation techniques to improve insights and analysis of business performance.
- Support stakeholders and end users with ad-hoc analysis to drive operational and analytical business decisions.
- Collaborates with NBI Data Management & NBI Data Visualization teams to support key research needs, extract data from various sources, and run simple statistical analysis to derive insights and aid in reporting processes.
- Ensure the accuracy of Power BI reports and appropriate report design templates/practices are followed.
- Maintains quality assurance procedures to ensure data quality and reliability.
- Relay concerns related to identified issues to the Data Management and Data Visualization teams as they arise.
- Assist in creation & maintenance of documentation for the end-to-end processes required to run our reporting infrastructure from data pipelines to in-production reporting.
- Collaborate with business units and meet with department stakeholders to review their analytical/insight needs and determine data requirements.
- Provide guidelines and requirements for the development of custom Power BI reports.
- Assist with prioritization of requests based on use case and business impact.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a business analyst/engineer or similar technical role
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience, or demonstrated proficiency, in data analysis including aggregating, manipulating, and visualizing data into actionable insights.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 suite of standard and advanced applications including:
- Expert ability in Excel required
- Power BI familiarity
- PowerPoint proficiency
- Soft Skills
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and a willingness to grow skill set(s).
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Kimble PSA, and/or Cherwell Service Management.
- Familiarity with PowerBI Development
Miscellaneous
- The Insights Analyst will interact with members of the NBI Team on a daily basis.
- This position is not client facing, but requires interaction with various departments and indivuals within Netrix.
- This position is considered remote and candidates are expected to have the ability to work from home.
- Stable and reliable internet connection is required.
- Shift timing is 8AM CST – 5 PM CST.
