Job Description:

The School Districts of Mauston is seeking candidates for a full-time one year grant funded intervention position. Interventionists work extensively with students to help them improve specific skills and address the specific needs of a particular child when regular classroom instruction is not sufficient. Interventionists work with the teacher to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child. Primary responsibilities will be providing reading and/or math interventions within a Response to Intervention model.

Qualifications:

Preferred applicants will possess exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and organizational skills. Candidates must be able to maintain a safe, respectful environment; make a positive and substantial contribution to the school and district; and assume a leadership role with colleagues. Experience and knowledge of how children develop as readers, Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop, assessment and data analysis, and intervention tools and practices for literacy and/or math are preferred. Applicants must have a Valid Wisconsin DPI License. Must pass a background check and drug screen upon offer of employment.
