Basic Purpose
Responsibilities:
- Full life-cycle project management
- Provide input and make budgetary recommendations regarding staffing and equipment
- Apply engineering principles into the design and enhancement of new and existing systems
- Document new system components, or modifications to existing components
- Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions including compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices
- Perform engineering tasks and assignments in support of business needs
- Perform engineering technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systems
- Provide technical leadership in the architecture discipline and development of information technology solutions
- Present clear, organized, and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective business decisions
- Ensures supported applications comply with the information technology architecture and standards
- Provide application software support cases per severity, service level agreements, and best practices
- Coordinate with software vendors, engineering teams, Project managers, Delivery Managers, and internal customers to provide technical guidance on software-related issues, and feature requests per agile scrum methods
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Lead, guide, and mentor less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Working knowledge of engineering discipline
- Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
- Advanced Experience with MS Dynamic CRM 365 (Azure DevOps, SQL Server, Azure Cloud, Power Platform, SharePoint, JavaScript, SSIS, etc)
- Experience with ITSM, ITBM, and ServiceNow product capabilities.
- Effective skill with Root cause analysis of application software issues related to usage, data integration, and workflow system processes
- Effective skill in software upgrades and installations, Quality Assurance, user, and Technical Support for applications
- Effective skill with installing and upgrading applications on Windows IIS servers
- Effective skill and knowledge of programming languages and operating systems
- Effective skill in Microsoft, Novell, Unix, Linux systems administration, and backup and recovery
- Effective skill and knowledge with Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe)
- Effective Skill in monitoring industry trends, best practices, processes, and procedures
- Strong technical aptitude, learning abilities, analytical abilities, and detailed organization
- Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Experience working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
- Advanced communication skill to effectively communicate with diverse and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge of development and automated testing tools/frameworks (e.g. Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, SOAP-UI, HP ALM/QTP, JIRA, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures
- Experience working with Oracle
- Service Now
- Employee intranet sites is a plus
