Qualifications:

  • Education: Associates degree at a minimum (required) however, Bachelors preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Solid background in Information Technology & project management.
  • Resource should have top-notch planning and coordination skills.
  • Should be forward-thinking and consultative in nature; Able to analyze process, technology, recommend solutions, improvements and propose changes.
  • Should be comfortable with training, coaching and supporting end-users of all levels. Should be organized and proficient with project & data management/tracking and processes.
  • Resource should have experience interacting with & managing internal and external stakeholders, vendors, teams/departments to perform vendor management, procure desktop and end-user hardware/software, wireless and other devices and to coordinate workflow.
  • Resource is comfortable with communicating risk and issues pertaining to project to stakeholders, vendors and teams.
  • Should have familiarity working in a lab/manufacturing environment and experience with equipment/systems used in a lab setting. Technical acumen of lab equipment and computer systems is expected.
  • Resource should have a strong underlying knowledge of System setup, system installs, Lab equipment, etc. and how all equpment is linked together.
  • Resource will also have strong Project Management skills - Resource should be able to self-direct and drive a project forward. Continually and consistently meet and balance multiple priorities at once.
  • Resource should have experience working with navigating complex, cross-functional, diverse teams.
  • Negotiation skills are helpful
  • Resource should be well versed in Windows 7 & 10 OS's.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI, Power Point and SharePoint as a repository for documentation and entry of project information.

Responsibilities:

  • The MRL (Client Research Labs) Modernization Program team is looking for two resources to work directly with scientists and other laboratory/manufacturing staff.
  • These resources will have familiarity of [laboratory] safety practices and familiarity with lab equipment.
  • The role will provide support, consultation, coordination, troubleshooting and configuration to end users.
  • There is a lot of project management and coordination; the candidate will act as a team collaborator. Scheduling, calendar management, tracking for multiple scientists, lab personnel and vendors.
  • This role will involve on-site work and the position will be based in either Rahway, NJ, Kenilworth, NJ or West Point, PA site.
  • This position will require the resources to travel between both sites.

Here are some other duties that the candidates will perform:

  • Candidates will perform PC refresh services.
  • Restates complex technical information in a format appropriate to the audience.
  • Drive execution efforts upgrading Client Research Laboratories' computer and instrumentation inventory from Windows 7 to Windows 10 across multiple sites.
  • Assist in determining upgrade path and disposition of instrumentation and lab PCs based on local policies. Assist and help manage tracking of specific item workflows.
  • Work with lab scientists and capital asset stewards to complete capital request templates. Assist with quarterly capital accrual process. Assist with equipment inventory and database true ups.
  • Identifies risks, partners with team members to mitigate risk, and promptly communicates risks and issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Liaise with vendors at a technical level in understanding roadmaps and new technologies
  • Work closely with Procurement team and other internal stakeholders to acquire quotes from suppliers and create purchase orders.
  • This will start off as a 1-year assignment, however, there is a strong possibility that it will be extended up to the max of 2 years. Must be local to both Rahway and Kenilworth. Will need to travel between both sites
