Are you a detailed orientated individual who is looking to start a career in purchasing? My client, a highly recognisable company in the construction space is looking for a Junior Buyer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Your new role
As a Junior Buyer you will execute and follow up on supplier purchase orders and assist in the establishment and maintenance of preferred supplier agreements in all spend categories. While doing this you will maintain documentation and purchasing records in project procurement file and also carry out general duties & responsibilities as directed by the Purchasing Manager which can include general office and facility administration

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with strong commercial acumen. They will be organised, smart, energetic, enthusiastic person with attention to detail when performing tasks with a positive, can-do attitude. You will need the ability to anticipate and manage problems, and ability to prioritise and escalate where necessary.

To be successful in this role you will have e excellent administration and time management skills and strong, demonstrable Microsoft Excel skills will be an advantage. While not essential holding a relevant third level qualification or experience in purchasing would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return
You will be paid a salary of €28,000 - €32,000 depending on your experience and be working with a high performing team where full training will be provided and you would be able to kick start a career as a buyer. There is excellent team culture and free on-site parking.
