Kitchens & Spaces is seeking a Full-Time Kitchen Designer and Sales Representative for our Downers Grove office. We are a family-owned home remodeling store specializing in custom cabinetry for remodeling or new construction for both residential and commercial applications.

The ideal candidate shall have experience in the kitchen and bath industry, have minimum three years' experience with 20/20 design program, sales experience, and exhibit knowledge and comfort working with high-end custom products and service. The work hours shall be Monday through Friday 10am - 5pm, and Saturdays from 10am - 2pm ( flexible )

Responsibilities will include:

• Initial point of contact for customers walking into the showroom; show them the product lines and qualify them into a product category based on design needs and budget.
• Setting appointments to take initial measurements and photos for remodeling projects, or taking copies of blueprints in case of new constructions.
• Design and create a thorough estimate for the project.
• Following up on existing quotes to convert into sales.
• Call on local remodeling contractors to provide products for their projects.
• Keep showroom organized
• Work in collaboration with our Project Coordinator
• Other tasks as requested by either the Project Coordinator, office staff or Owner.

Compensation:

• First full month will be considered “employment at will” or "trial period" as an Independent Contractor and can be terminated by either party.
• During Trial period Pay is weekly and will be calculated at a rate of $25.00/hour.
• As an Independent Contractor, your paycheck will be issued via company check and not on payroll (no taxes withheld).
• After 1-month trial if you shall pass a generous contract will be drawn with base-pay & commissions and you will be put on W-2 payroll system.
• You will also be supplied with company vehicle to commute from office to various job locations
• You will be reimbursed for gas and mileage for all work-related tasks if you need to use your personal vehicle (going to a site for initial consultation). This shall be tracked either on paper logs or via electronic app (such as MileIQ).
• Kitchens & Spaces offers a generous profit-sharing program.
