Eurofins is offering an exciting opportunity to work on our client site in Ringaskiddy, a world-leading biopharmaceutical company that develops therapeutic drugs in the areas of oncology, immunology, neuroscience, and infectious disease.

We are seeking a Senior Laboratory Support Coordinator to coordinate lab support activities, in our Analytical department, where we are testing a range of new drug products undergoing developmental, stability, and clinical trials. This is a day role, Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate the Verification of lab equipment, including balances and pipettes,
• Develop protocols for routine maintenance on and cleaning of laboratory equipment.
• Help client lab groups with cell culture activities if business needs require such as solution preparation (e.g. mobile phases) and media preparation (e.g. cell culture media) activities.
• Become a site SME for SAP and other Software used by the Lab support team,
• Liaise with vendors and maintenance for internal equipment calibrations. Accompany vendors onto site, and organise necessary administration, organise shipping of equipment off site as required.
• Appropriately document equipment management tasks in accordance with site procedures and ensure accurate records management.
• Assist with sample management activities if required, e.g. downloading of temptales and movement of samples including sample shipping.
• Administration of documentation with reference to samples, i.e. receipt of external sample results and entry onto LIMS, logging samples in LIMS etc.
• Responding to ad-hoc requests for information and/or assistance relating to equipment management (including cleans, PMs, repairs and calibrations) and lab support activities.
• Monitoring of equipment alarms as required and responding appropriately.
• Maintaining all documentation and systems related to their work in collaboration with the client personnel and their suppliers.
• Maintaining all equipment related to their work as per local procedures.
• Writing SOPs related to area of work.
• Participating in laboratory investigations as requested.
• Generation of certain quality and business related metrics.
• Assisting laboratory analytical personnel as required.
• Keeping their training records up to date and initiating training where possible when free from work.
• Training of other personnel as required.
• To identify and communicate to PSS Management areas for improvement or optimisation in order to improve efficiencies and provide a cost effective service.

• A third level qualification in a scientific discipline.

• Min 2 years experience in lab support/equipment management in a GMP environment

• Good team player

• Good communication skills both internally and externally
