Job description
We are a growing single-family home building company looking for a Land Development Manager to join our team. As a Land Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development of land from the initial stages of surveying and land analysis to the delivery of a pad-ready lot to our new home project managers. You will be working closely with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and local government agencies, to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of land development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development of land from start to finish, including but not limited to: site preparation, land clearing, grading, stormwater management, and utilities installation.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding land development and environmental factors.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and local government agencies to ensure that all aspects of land development are properly executed.
- Use laser instruments to shoot finished floor elevations and ensure accuracy of site preparation and grading.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of pad-ready lots to new home project managers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project timelines, budgets, and expenditures.
- Regularly inspect project sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Travel between our central Florida and Southwest Florida areas as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in land development or a related field.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding land development and environmental factors.
- Experience with laser instruments used for shooting finished floor elevations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
