JOB TITLE: Landscaper

REPORTS TO: Director of Corporate Services

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The landscaper completes a variety of tasks to achieve a functional and pleasant outdoor area.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns

2. Weeding and cutting lawns

3. Familiar with handling chemicals and operating landscape equipment

4. Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs

5. Monitoring and maintaining plant health (treatment for bugs)

6. Familiar with operating and repairs of sprinkler systems

7. Other duties may be assigned, as needed or required

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Two to four years’ experience with a landscaper or groundskeeper
• Familiar with sprinkler systems
• First rate customer service skills
• Proficient in English

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis. Manual dexterity and coordinate are required over 50% of the work week while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
