Applications are invited for an appointment as Part-time Lecturer Below the Bar in Italian on a specific purpose contract in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at University of Galway. Applicants should possess a Doctorate (Level 10) award in Italian and have relevant third-level teaching experience in Italian language.
Applicants should also possess some experience of administration, ideally in an academic context. The successful applicant will be able to contribute to all levels undergraduate and postgraduate (including translation), and to other activities relevant to the discipline of Italian at University of Galway, such as community outreach.

The successful applicant will maintain active involvement in teaching and the development of new teaching material. S/he will contribute to academic administration and the School’s involvement in teaching, research, and/or professional activities of relevance to the wider community.

Salary: €40,316 to €62,406 pro rata p.a. (applicable to new entrants from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer below the Bar scale in line with current Government pay policy)
