Position Summary:

The Legal Support Specialist supports the legal team with a broad range of activities including but not limited to Client Service Agreement Addenda, subpoena process, EPLI administrative tasks, Data Privacy administration, and other projects as assigned with limited oversight.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist with standard requests for changes to the Client Service Agreement;
  • Review and Respond to requests for production/subpoenas issued to CoAdvantage and/or assist clients in obtaining copies of Company documents related to their employees which may be responsive to subpoenas/requests for production received by the Client.
  • Track and maintain EPLI spreadsheet, EPLI deductible and billing management
  • Prepare and issue preservation notices to internal employees.
  • Assist with submitting New EPLI claims to EPLI carrier, communicating with client regarding the EPLI process, and and handle client questions related to EPLI program.
  • Coordinate CCPA responses and systems management with Legal oversight.
  • Assist with preparation of New Employee Packet and form changes annually or as needed, reviewing for compliance with federal and state, local laws.
  • Assist with identifying and reviewing upcoming federal, state and local law changes and notifying internal team members of applicable updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Problem-solving ingenuity and ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities
  • Must be a self-starter, organized and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Proficient in the following systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, CoAdQuantum, the POD, OneTrust, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage time effectively
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • Position requires the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Education / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and or equivalent certification required
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Paralegal certification preferred but not necessary
