Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) seeks a legislative assistant to serve as a member of his economic development team. Qualified candidates will have significant professional experience related to economic development, small business, housing, and taxes. This individual will work directly with communities across Georgia to identify federal resources to support economic growth and prosperity. This individual will advise and brief the Senator on matters related to their portfolio; draft, introduce, and negotiate amendments and bills; meet with constituents and stakeholders; prepare briefing materials; and work on other related issues as assigned. Candidates must have strong writing, analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively under pressure. This is a mid-level position with an annual starting salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 with eligibility for Senate benefits.
