Midland Care is hiring a Life Enrichment Specialist for our PACE Center in Topeka. PW-11-01
Midland Care’s Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a not-for-profit health care program that helps people at risk for needing nursing home care who meet a level of care requirement stay in their own homes and communities.
Summary
The purpose of this position is to develop and implement activities in compliance with requirements to meet the needs of our senior clients. Prep and planning of crafts, games and other activities.
Employment Status: Full-time
Pay Rate starts at $16/hour (pay is based on like experience/requirements.)
Typical Hours of Employment: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Qualifications
Required: One year experience working with an elderly population; interdisciplinary teamwork, ability to work effectively with culturally, economically and educationally diverse populations, and form positive interpersonal relations in dealing with a wide range of staff participants essential; Ability to assist with activities at home and in center. Good understanding of psychosocial problems of aging. Must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland policy.
Prefer: Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification.
