AERMOR is seeking candidates to assist Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) Code N62 in servicing end-users, computer operating systems, and securing connectivity to the POPS Ocean LAN and WAN.

Responsibilities Include:

• System administration support, to include:
  • User password changes.
  • Establishment of user accounts.
  • System trouble shooting and resolution.
  • System Administration and Cybersecurity Documentation.
  • Perform cybersecurity analysis following DoD, DoN, and NAVOCEANO policies, processes and guidelines.
  • The contractor shall be responsible for performing workstation computer operating system loads and configuration.
  • The contractor shall be responsible for application installations.
  • Conducting DISA STIG checks.
  • Assists in developing technical documentation.
  • Assists in technical evaluations of IT solutions and documents courses of actions.
  • Assists users with IT issues submitted through help desk.
  • The contractor shall perform system administration duties to include operating system installation, patching, upgrades for Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstations and servers.
  • The contractor shall perform installation of approved software on Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstations and servers.
  • The contractor shall conduct system administration tasks following DoD, DoN, and NAVOCEANO policies, processes and guidelines.
• Network systems administration support at the journeyman/intermediate level of skills, knowledge, and abilities, to include:
  • Conducting Pre-installation Check Out (PICO) activities, such as Cisco IOS and baseline configuration provisioning for life-cycle replacement (LCR) components/appliances.
  • Conducting DISA STIG checks.
  • Basic provisioning of network change requests (NCR) to support computer system moves within the LAN. Trouble shooting connection issues.
  • Conduct work as an integrated team member in deployment activities for LAN LCR components/appliances.
  • The contractor shall be responsible for performing network appliance operating system loads and configuration.
  • The contractor shall be responsible for cyber security compliance checklists.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Training in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8
