Seeking to hire an experienced Litigation Paralegal. As a Litigation Paralegal, you must be highly organized and able to work on a varied caseload, take pride in what you do, will work directly for attorneys, litigation experience required.
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Trial Preparation.
- Draft & File Pleadings.
- Draft & File Motions.
- Index litigation files.
- Drafting complaints, discovery, and e-Filing lawsuits for personal injury clients;
- Scheduling and setting depositions, hearings, and mediation conferences.
- Issuing subpoenas to witnesses for depositions and trial appearances.
- Gathers case evidence and documentation by preparing files, inputting information in medical records, statements of charges, and client and witness statements.
- Prepare and update case correspondence.
- Assists with insurance claim settlements/negotiation.
- Assist with mediations and depositions.
Litigation Paralegal Qualification:
- Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, practices, calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Litigation experience is required.
- Personal Injury experience is a plus.
