Job Description

We are looking for someone to support our Neenah Innovation Center (NIC) facility and operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
SHIFT AVAILABLE:
  • 8-hour day shift, Monday-Thursday
  • Availability 6am-6pm. Typical hours 8am-4pm.
  • Schedule and shift flexibility
  • Part-time: Maximum of 32 hours a week
COMPENSATION: $25 to $33/hour based on experience!

WHAT MACHINE OPERATOR TECHNICIANS GET TO DO:
  • Perform all NIC research pilot line operations, including trial scheduling, planning, and run execution. This will include the following, dependent on machine: materials management; machine set up, start up, and shutdown; clean up; trial reporting. Plate mounting, anilox, cylinder and plate cleaning may also be required.
  • Partner with R&D for planning & completion of all pilot equipment trials in accordance with trial material, specification, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely. This includes, but is not limited to; trial reports, metrics tracking, safety, EHS & SOP documents, and all others as assigned.
  • Work with and direct R&D personnel assisting with equipment trials, including training R&D team members to become efficient at all the required machine-helper assistant duties.
  • Ability to train on and operate forklifts of varying styles
  • Additional duties as assigned.
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
  • Expertise typically derived from 5 or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Preferred machine operator experience with one of the following Blown Film, Rewind/Slitting, Lamination and/or Press.
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • Technical degree, preferred
  • Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs
  • A team player with good communications skills and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability of implementing process improvements to create efficiencies, results oriented
  • Initiative – identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked to or required by the situation
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational Acumen/Time management
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL ADVANCED MANUFACTURING POSITIONS:
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50-65 lbs.
  • Willing and able to stand and walk for a 8 hour shift
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
  • Frequent use of wrist and hands
  • Frequent stepping up and down from platforms
