Summary of key responsibilities

Knowledge acquisition from incumbent on Mainframe service delivery & provide KT to Offshore team

Build Relationship with customer and SMEs at customer’s site

Build Relationship with hardware vendors & support teams

Identify risk during transition, provide mitigation and track till completion

Track Service Delivery and ensure SLA compliance including with vendors

Capacity planning and system performance tuning

Review and update the SOP documents on regular basis to maintain AS-IS processes and procedures of the environment

Draft policies and implement process in consultation with client as per business with ITIL framework

Manage escalations and ensure System Availability as per SLA

Validate mainframe reports with customer

Support on all in-flight and upcoming project activities

Years of Experience

· Solid experience of 7+ years in Mainframe Infrastructure delivery roles

Technical requirements

· Experience with z/Architecture Mainframe hardware z15, z14, zEC12, zBC12, z114, z196

· Parallel Sysplex and Maintenance

· Experience in replacing vendor products (From Broadcom to IBM/ BMC) is desirable

· Experience in installing multiple program products and guiding end user to use the product effectively.

· z/OS v2.3 and z/OS v2.5 installation, migration and configuration

· z/VM Installation, migration and configuration

· zOS System Automation using IBM or ISV products ex: IBM SA, CA OPS/MVS

· Expert knowledge in Assembler Programming, REXX Utilities and Exit Routines

· PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation, customization and maintenance

· JCL, JES2, JES3, DFSMS, SMP/E, zOSMF,

· Expert knowledge in Unix system services base and related SW products

· Mainframe Security RACF, ACF2

· Expertise in IBM/ISV Utilities, Tools ex: OMEGAMON, Mainview, Sysview, Netview

• Expertise in handling CA ISV Utilities. Ex: CA ESP, CA-11, CA-7, Endevor
• Expertise in handling BMC, ASG, Compuware ISV Mainframe Products

· Mainframe Capacity Planning & Performance Tuning using SMF/RMF, SAS and MXG

· Create WLM policies for optimal system performance

· Experience in MIPS Optimization and Software rationalization

· Perform Job management and print management

· Capture and analyze dumps and traces, LOGREC records
