Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as the application of predictive maintenance in the plastic injection area. Coordinates movements of new equipment or relocations depending on necessities, and is technically proficient to perform everything related to the area of responsibility.

What are the key responsibilities of this position?

• Responsible for facilities and equipment blueprints. As well as coordinating and controlling spare parts' warehouse.
• Responsible for following all work orders generated from the corrective and predictive maintenance as well as compliance with maintenance program for all machinery and peripheral equipment.
• Responsible for plant blueprints, plant operations, new construction and rental properties, as well as engineering tasks within the plant engineering department.
• Responsible for meeting the commitment dates of the facilities in the plant and departmental movements.
• Responsible for disconnection and connection of new equipment, as well as its transfer.
• Vendor and suppliers' development for spare parts and services related to machinery.
• Ensures that all facilities follow local, state, and national regulations and environmental laws.
• Carry out their tasks respecting of the environment and the integrity of the employees.
• Respond for the environmental performance of the process in charge.
• Responsible for execution, following and documentation of all validation qualifications needed on equipment. (IQ)
• Ensure the optimal conditions of the equipment for environmental operational control and/or that affect the environmental performance of the Environmental Management System.
• Management of suppliers that chip in to compliance with environmental operational controls and/or Legal Requirements
• Ensure the establishment and implementation of operational controls in order to control the Environmental Aspects and Legal Requirements associated with the processes under their responsibility.
• Evaluate the personnel in charge

Qualifications:

Education, Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related engineering degree required
• 2+ years of proven experience in maintenance of plastic injection, blow molding and injection blow molding equipment required
• Knowledge on utilities/facilities equipment and general services
• 4.0 industry knowledge a plus
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, Lean manufacturing concepts and familiarization of FDA regulations

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to make decisions, based on available information, to effectively tackle problems.
• Must be meticulous and have good interpersonal skills.
• Digital Literacy: Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Maintenance management software or PM
• Knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, electric diagrams.
• Mechanical diligent knowledge
• Experience on working with multidisciplinary teams at engineering level.
• SAP module knowledge is a plus
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10%
• Proficiency with the English language
