DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs maintenance and repair work in the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, windows, and doors. You will mix, prepare, and perform interior/exterior painting; perform all rough and finish carpentry work; repair and service HVAC equipment; install and replace electrical circuits, panels, wall plugs and lighting fixtures; repair concrete and masonry; install and repair sinks, faucets water heaters drains, etc.; perform cleaning duties; remove snow, ice and debris; and mow grass and maintain landscaping.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• 
  Full-time employment; 37.5 hours/week.
• Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.
• Travel as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Necessary Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirement:

• Must be willing and able to work in Kutztown, PA.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in plumbing work, electrical work, commercial carpentry, and the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems preferred.
• Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings preferred.
• Experience in the commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment preferred.
• Experience with with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears and 3-phase panels preferred.
• Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats, and instantaneous water heaters preferred.
• Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Codes as it relates to building repairs preferred.
