JOB DESCRIPTION

A technician who is responsible for the upkeep of a facility and all its needs. They are skilled in a variety of areas including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Duties may include inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems for any issues maintaining inventory, and scheduling repairs. They schedule repairs for faulty equipment or damaged structures and perform general maintenance of the facility and grounds. Furthermore, they provide an efficient operation and upkeep of the property building and grounds in a supportive role.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
• Groundskeeping
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
• High school diploma or an equivalent degree such as a GED.
