Collins Aerospace is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of work to maintain machines, mechanical equipment and ensure all are in good working condition. Duties may involve machine repair, electrical repair, carpentry, painting, welding, plumbing, and sheet metal work.

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs machine components and electrical systems.
  • Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provides support in the development and implementation of equipment upgrades.
  • Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.
  • Complies with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.
  • Coordinates outsourced projects and activities with contractors
  • Works with third party vendors to organize procurement of maintenance-related components
  • Complies with and supports EH&S policies and procedures
  • Consistently demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement; actively participates in and supports continuous improvement events
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma.
  • Required to have basic mechanical skills.
  • In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of machine repair, electrical repair, carpentry, painting, welding, plumbing, and sheet metal work.
  • Basic machining experience.
