What Global Sourcing Ops contributes to Cardinal Health

Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Govern, Manage, and Leverage Procurement Data and other Technology solutions to improve process efficiency and business decision making.

  • Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Creates competitive advantage by deploying data and technology solutions for supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Has an understanding of current data context, processes and availability, and how current data processes and existing data can be leveraged to achieve the desired benefits.
  • Prepares and analyzes data. This can include: locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating or modeling.
  • Interprets results of analyses, identifies trends and issues, and develops recommendations to support business objectives.
  • Communicates complex information so that it is easy to understand and influences other to take action based on the useful information provided.
  • Implements and maintains decision support or master data management solutions.
  • Identifies and manages data quality in alignment with the needs of the business and/or industry.
  • Ensures complete protection of data with all policies as it relates to visibility and distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Actively enable and empower analytics and operations professionals across the Global Sourcing organization through leadership ability, sharing of best practices, training programs, and in-person development/support
  • Take responsibility for building data and technology-based solutions for Global Sourcing team
  • Provide leadership and guidance for data and analytics programs supporting Medical Segment sourcing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide data and analytics support, and thought leadership on critical Cardinal Health initiatives across the enterprise
  • Partner with Global Sourcing teams on both large-scale and targeted sourcing initiatives to maximize sales and margin
  • Build, optimize, and/or automate process/analytics solutions in support of the Global Sourcing org
  • Access and aggregate large, raw data sets from multiple internal/external sources and transform into meaningful analyses, actionable insights, and practical information for decision-making
  • Represent Global Sourcing in enterprise and segment data initiatives/strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 7-10 years’ experience in related field preferred
  • Track record of executing large-scale automation initiatives
  • Knowledge of (or proficiency in) advanced analytics applications (e.g., automation, predictive), market intelligence, and data governance
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise
  • Subject-matter expertise in self-service analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to senior management desired
