Purpose and Scope
This position supports the daily operation of a quality aerospace maintenance and repair organization in the machining processes necessary to restore equipment to airworthiness standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe behavior at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Complete required equipment maintenance checks
- Perform machining operations per drawing/blueprint and documented procedures
- Must work well with others in a team environment
- Monitor operations to prevent non-conformance's before they occur
- Operate machine tools such as grinders, mills, and lathes
- Sharpen cutting tools as needed
- De-burr machined parts
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Possess at minimum a basic set of micrometers, caliper, indicator and de-burring tools
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to read and write English
- Available to work overtime as required
- Basic understanding of machine shop procedures, GD&T and shop math
- Understanding of technical drawings and work instructions
- Understanding of precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects.
Preferred Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Vocational training in machine tool technology
- 3-5 years minimum experience as a manual machinist in a job shop environment
- Maintenance and repair organization experience

A minimum of 10 years’ experience is preferred. This is a safety sensitive position which requires a DOT preemployment drug test, in addition to random testing throughout your employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
