Hitachi Energy is seeking a Marketing Manager for its Marketing & Sales Hub. This role is responsible for looking after the entire sales funnel from a supply point of view, from the activation of the related quotation (from a SFDC opportunity generated by the Demand)/ bid and proposal/tendering stage to price setting with the objective of speeding up the decision-making process and price decisions. This role is instrumental for cross-factory bid and/or cross-hub tenders’ coordination. Responsible for Product Promotion within the HUB in coordination with the HUB Marketing & Promotions Manager.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and conduct market research studies and perform related analyses involving sales, trends, and market development potential
- Identify, quantify, and make recommendations regarding market price, customer delivery requirements, quality, and other factors involving products and services that may substantially impact the Company's future business prospects
- Assist Sales, Engineering, and other organizations in developing and implementing strategies to capture additional sales and market share and increase profits
- Develop strategic profiles of key and potential competitors, and forecast markets, business volume and market share
- Cultivate customer relationships by showcasing the factory(s) on a regular basis and acts on the results to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Create, plan, and ensure implementation of Regional go-to–market product marketing strategy, such as the definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the Global and Hub Product Marketing strategy
- Participate in early pursuit engagement by engaging in collaboration with the Application Engineering Teams and Factory Engineering Teams to influence specs and drive value creation
Your background
- Bachelor degree in engineering, marketing, or business and twelve (12) or more years of experience in B2B marketing & sales roles
- Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
- Experience in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) market
- Knowledge of pad mount distribution transformers, dry-type transformers, and unit substation transformers a plus
- Experience in a large global manufacturing organization with International experience and Intercultural sensitivity preferred
- Structured and analytical thinking with superior communication and negotiation skills
