Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Marketing Services Manager, we'll count on you to:

• Management

  • Supervise a team of marketing specialists to achieve the marketing and business development goals for the Minnesota/Wisconsin area

  • Manage marketing team assignments and workload, monitoring activities to see that timelines are met and communication is clear throughout project pursuit stages for the Transportation and Water markets

  • Collaborate with leadership team to improve internal marketing processes

  • Educate staff members on strategies for building their personal brand

  • Develop and grow a team that fosters innovation and creativity

  • Work collaboratively across HDR’s markets to ensure the implementation of integrated strategies

  • Support Business Development activities through monitoring and reporting on goals and providing insights to leadership regarding client plans

  • Provide overall marketing direction for the Minnesota/Wisconsin area and oversee accurate capture and reporting of monthly marketing results

• Brand Identity

  • Develop new ideas to improve brand marketing and exposure in the Minnesota and Wisconsin markets

  • Work closely with business development leaders and business group managers to effectively position the company’s services and solutions and differentiate their offerings from the competition.

  • Collaborate with HDR Corporate Marketing team to ensure HDR’s brand standards and messaging are in alignment. Plan and manage marketing events such as conferences, tradeshows and client events

  • Oversee and coordinate well-designed marketing content that is ready for the company’s website, email newsletters, advertising campaigns, and social media

  • Oversee and coordinate external marketing communications to heighten HDR’s visibility across all markets and area communities

• Provide marketing pursuit and proposal coordination and production support when needed

• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or closely related field
• 5 years progressive marketing experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Adobe InDesign
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively
• Understand professional services marketing and RFP processes
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
• Able to collaborate across functions to drive deadlines and accountability, manage priorities and ensure objectives and expectations are met
• Highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a desire to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• 7 years progressive management experience
• Understanding of desktop publishing
• Preference given to local candidates
