Become a member of an exciting pediatric cochlear implant program! Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals to provide excellent clinical services to children who are deaf/hard of hearing and their families. The position will provide evaluation and intervention services to children who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families. Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy for children with a variety of communication disorders. Supervise graduate student clinicians in a clinical setting.
Mentorship in Auditory-Verbal Therapy is available.
Minimum Education and Experience

Mentorship in Auditory-Verbal Therapy is available.
Master’s degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology; ASHA CCC or in process of completing CFY; TX state license in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for are required.
Experience providing speech therapy with children and adults with various communication disorders.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with children with various communication disorders; particularly children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Specialization in Listening and Spoken Language is preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administer state-of-the-art communication diagnostic measures; integrate & interpret findings; provide information, training & recommendations to family, physicians, educators & other professionals; develop & provide individualized intervention or small-group intervention for toddlers, and school-age children; supervise graduate student clinicians in training.

Supervise graduate students in the Communication Disorders program; other duties as assigned. Must have or be eligible for a Texas license to practice speech-language pathology. Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and be eligible to supervise graduate student clinicians.

For example, all faculty, staff, and students who are working in the Callier Clinics must be fully vaccinated by April 21, 2022, in accordance with the emergency federal vaccination requirements for healthcare facilities established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule.
Newly hired employees who are subject to federal vaccination requirements will be required to show proof of vaccination (e.g., vaccination card, immunization records from health care provider) prior to their first date of employment, and may be required to show compliance annually if a federal vaccine requirement requires an annual booster vaccine.
