Bradley's Country Store in Tallahassee, FL is looking for one meat market associate/meat cutter to join our team. We are located on 10655 Centerville Road. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable.

Job Description:

Bradley's Country Store is a family owned and operated business that is locally known for our old-fashioned country smoked and fresh sausage as well as our stone ground grits and cornmeal. Our products are still made on site to this day!

We are in search of an experienced Meat Market Associate/Meat Cutter to join the Bradley team. Candidates must be courteous, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented with full time availability. Looking to build up our team with long-term and loyal employees that are willing to work hard with their team members to help uphold the standards created.

The Meat Market Associate will work 30-40 hours per week. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age or older (equipment - knives, saws, and other tools) to cut meat down into smaller portions. Will weigh, price, and package cuts and sausage links.

Our ideal candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of sausage and meat quality, cuts, and preparation. Must be prompt and reliable.

Responsibilities:

*Greeting and speaking to customers in a professional manner; providing excellent customer service *Communicate with customers to determine their needs; provide advice regarding proper cuts or amounts of meat and preparation methods *Cutting and preparing meats for sale *Sanitation of tools and equipment used on a consistent basis *Ensure displays and signage are attractive and eye-catching *Weighing, packaging, pricing products, and completing customer orders *Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines *Preparing sandwiches and other lunch items based on customer specification *Assist in stocking and organizing of items throughout the store

Qualifications:

*Experience within the meat industry (i.e., processing, cutting) *Strong understanding of meat quality, cuts, and preparation is preferred * Excellent customer service and communication skills *Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds *Must be willing to work weekends and during holiday season *Food Safety Manager Certification is a plus
