Job description

We are seeking a Nebraska Certified Med Aide to become a part of our team!

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care services to residents including medication administration
• Process physician orders, communicate with the pharmacy, check in medications, communicate with family members and/or other responsible parties
• Provide assistance with bathing, housekeeping, and laundry services
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation
• Supervise Resident Assistants (RAs)
• Support dietary department and staff
• Respond to the resident pages and calls to ensure that all personal needs are met completely and in a timely manner
• Adhere to the highest of professional standards in practice, appearance, and interaction with others including residents, family members, management, teammates and treat all individuals with utmost respect and dignity
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must be able to work holidays and every other weekend

​Qualifications:

• Must have completed a 40-hour medication aide course and be active and in good standing on the medication aide registry in the State of Nebraska
• Perform physical responsibilities of providing direct care and assistance with activities of daily living for all residents residing at The Lexington Assisted Living
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Rotating holidays and every other weekend required
• Med Aide Certification required
• Valid Nebraska driver’s license required
• Health/Physical/Alcohol and Drug Tests required
• Background check required
