The full-time Medium Truck Driver will perform daily round trips to pick up and deliver varying numbers of packages. The point of origin and return is Sterling, VA.
- Safely operate a medium-sized cargo truck
- Complete round-trip mail pickup service within the expected time frame, achieving a 99.75% on-time delivery rate
- Interface with DoS and USPS employees and/or contractors to complete mail pickup and delivery
- Comply with all security regulations and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck, including daily mopping of the cargo bay and clean-up of the cab area
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license
- State verification of safe driving record
- Background check required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to resolve issues in a satisfactory manner
