Middle School Baseball Coach

Part-Time

The Country School is an independent preschool through 8th-grade progressive school located in Valley Village.

We are seeking a Middle School Baseball Coach for the Spring season, beginning in March.

Responsibilities/Duties include, but are not limited to:

● Communicate with families of the team to keep them updated with the schedule and any team news.

● Be available to coach all games for the team. There will be between 5-7 games starting sometime in late March

or early April. Games are typically in the afternoon starting at 3:30 pm and running for an hour.

● Organize and run practices 2 days a week from 3:30 pm-5:00 pm starting in early March.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Knowledge of the game and the ability to teach it at a basic level stressing fundamentals and team play.

● Must have a reliable source of transportation to get to games in a timely manner.

● Ability to independently supervise and lead students

● Ability to work collaboratively with a team of faculty in a school community

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Patience and resourcefulness

● Enjoys working with middle school-aged students
