About the role

The Milk Quality & Sustainability Advisor will be responsible for the Quality & Sustainability function within their geographical area and will provide technical direction and support to Milk-Suppliers and other agricultural personnel in ensuring that the highest possible quality & sustainability standards are maintained by our milk suppliers as well as compliance with Regulatory and customer requirements.

Job Requirements

• Provide technical advice and support to milk suppliers.
• Resolution of Quality & Technical Issues to ensure the milk being sent to the business is of the highest standard.
• Assist suppliers with audits and close out non-compliances arising from SDAS / DAFM Audits.
• To support / organize / deliver local dissemination events such as farm walks.
• To use a range of advisory methodologies including one to one support and public events as part of a team to achieve improvements in farmers environmental sustainability.
• Undertake relevant training & development courses
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and skills

• Good Knowledge of the farming industry.
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Have a high level of commitment and energy.
• Advisers will be required to have their own transport in order to efficiently carry out their duties.
• Full clean drivers licence.
• Previous industry experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications:

• 3rd Level Qualification in Agricultural Science or a Scientific/Food Discipline or equivalent
• Proficient IT Skills
